We are in mourning...

We still have a collective feeling of sadness and shock to hear the news of the demise of 117 passengers, aboard a Bellview Aircraft in Ogun state and the death of the "First" Lady - Chief (Mrs) Stella Obansanjo who died in spain after "Surgery"...
Ps: the President is from Ogun state - could that be some kind of message to us...

To this point we are still trying to piece together what she(the first lady) was doing in spain and what type of surgery she was to undergo? (my mind lingers on the "Cosmetic" option).

Anyway - the country was thrown into mass mourning and shock because so many people knew those who lost their lives tragically in the air mishap or where connected to others who knew those who died...

One cannot help but imagine the senseless loss and waste of human life but then God knows best...

We collectively share our feelings of sorrow and empathy with those families who lost people in that flight - May GOD give them the fortitude to bear this Loss and the Strenghth to move on with their lives...

Amen!

Weekend - in light of this: Let's Celebrate!

Joy! Oh!Joy

It's the weekend and I'm so happy that it's here.
I spend wednsday waiting for it to come, I prayed feverently for it on thursday and then I woke up this morning and shouted - Thank GOD it's Friday! (Actually - one should thank God everyday of the week but Friday's are kind of special)!

Nigeria dropped out of the world cup qualifiers - so no 2006 world cup for us! Serves the blasted country right! If only we'd prepared adequately - we wouldn't be in this mess!
But then other "heavyweights" face the same problem: Cameroon, S/Africa,Senegal - to be replaced by mostly first timers: Ivory Coast, Ghana, S/leone...

And as is normal when something in Nigeria fails - people give excuses instead of accepting the blame and moving on with their lives... (Na you, No be me!)

It's post Face of Russel and I've been trying to put my shit together - I'm still believing in my dream - I need to work hard to make it a reality! (Hello:: Empower Online!)

I plan to rest till 10am on saturday, then I'll decide on what to do with myself!

Later folks...

Back from Face of Russel (dead beat but glad for the experience)

Life's beautiful or its not - depending on how you feel and for how long...

It was a show billed for friday the 7th and this was the first public show that I had played a major role in - I'm and engineer by training but for some reason, i'm in the entertainment sector...

I believe that a man should try his hand at all things to get a feel for what he's good at and then he should damn well stick to it - hence my admiration for folks who can strike the ball on their very first try - ":I want do do this!" and they just damn well do it! (Think: Nike!)

I was up on my feet till 3:00am this morning after the show. It was by all accounts a lovely show as espoused by people who actually defied the rain to see the end - God was VERY merciful to us. We featured Faze of the plantation Boyzs & Daddy Showkey and the show positively rocked!

I don't actually know how this will affect my decision but I eagerly await the outcome - the year is almost at an end and I'm at my wits end...

Later folks...
